"La Guelaguetza. Fiesta de los Lunes del Cerro".

The “Proyecto Cultural Mexicana” at Instituto Español in Second Life celebrates, "La Guelaguetza" 2012. Oaxaca.

As part of her ongoing Mexican history lecture series, Maestra Eugenia Calderon presents "La Guelaguetza. Fiesta de los Lunes del Cerro". This lecture will be presented in Spanish, live from the Zócalo, Instituto Español in Second Life on Wednesday July 2nd, 4:00 pm Pacific Time. The Guelaguetza is an annual indigenous cultural event in Mexico that takes place in the city of Oaxaca. The celebration centers on traditional group dancing in costume.

Maestra Calderon is a trained Spanish teacher whose cultural lectures are designed as listening exercises for those learning Spanish. You can count on a student friendly pace, clear annunciation, and mix of challenging and simpler vocabulary.
