The “Proyecto Cultural Mexicana” at Instituto Español in Second Life
celebrates, “2012, Year of the Maya.”
As part of her ongoing Mexican history lecture series, Maestra Eugenia
Calderon presents "The Mayan Civilization and the End of the World."
This lecture will be presented in Spanish, live from the Zócalo, Instituto Español in Second Life on Saturday June 2nd, 4:00 pm Pacific

civilization that reigned for over 17 centuries in Mesoamerican, and
investigate the famous Mayan calendar who some believe predicts the end
of the world on December 21st, 2012.
Maestra Calderon is a trained Spanish teacher whose cultural lectures
are designed as listening exercises for those learning Spanish. You can
count on a student friendly pace, clear annunciation, and mix of
challenging and simpler vocabulary.
